Frequently Asked Questions
How long before my RTM delivery date should I book the foundation?
As early as possible — ideally 4–8 weeks before delivery. We need your RTM supplier’s structural drawings and your site details to prepare. The actual installation takes one day, but lead time for scheduling fills up fast during peak season.
What information do you need from my RTM supplier?
We need the structural drawings showing bearing point locations and load requirements. If drawings aren’t finalized yet, preliminary plans are fine — we can work with your supplier to refine pile placement as details are confirmed.
Can you install a foundation in winter for a spring RTM delivery?
Yes — this is one of our most common scenarios. We install year-round to -20°C. Many RTM buyers order their home in the fall and want the foundation in before spring. The piles are fully load-bearing immediately after installation, so a February installation is ready for an April delivery without any issue.
Do screw pile foundations meet building code for RTM homes in Manitoba and Saskatchewan?
Yes. Our CCMC-certified pile system (#13102-R) is accepted by building authorities across both provinces. The Pile Load Report and layout drawing we provide are accepted as part of the building permit package in municipalities throughout our service area.
